What makes this stuff so good is the fact that a lot of the old versions from the early days of MTV were different versions of what you could find on the albumes, and were actaully superior in a number of instances.

Especially "Eminence Front", Townshend is absolutely phenomenal on it...and it has the absolutely coolest Telecaster tone I have heard damn near ever heard.
