Apr. 10th, 2003 12:30 amAonie has been a corrupting influence on me which is why I'm posting my answers to her music survey
Music Survey:
What was the first record you owned?
Pink Floyd "The Darkside of the Moon"
Is there a song that reminds you most of your childhood?
Alice in Chains "No Excuses"
If your life was a movie, what song would play over the following:
Opening Credits:
"Dark Hand Over My Heart" Richard Thompson
Love Scene:
"These Are the Days of Our Lives" Queen
Driving scene that consists mostly of flashbacks and love lost:
"Brand New Morning" David Baerwald
Closing credits:
"Same Changes" Sam Phillips
If applicable, name a song or concert that moved you to tears:
Live AID: Queen perfoming "Radio Gaga". Nearly twenty years later I still get chills thinking about it.
Name an album that is perfect all the way through - No filler, no bad stuff:
"Mock Tudor" Richard Thompson
Music you like that could be considered a guilty pleasure:
Duran Duran
If your music collection was about to go up in flames, which 5 CDs would you save?
"Jar of Flies" Alice in Chains
"Triage" David Baerwald
"Blaze of Glory: Joe Jackson (out of print and on cassette, but it is a wonderful album)
"The Crow Soundtrack"
Coverdale/Page
Is there a song that describes you or a situation so well that you could have written it:
"I Stay Away" Alice in Chains.
Has a song or artist changed your life in any way? If so, how?
David Baerwald: His Triage album seemed to be the soundtrack for my creative, political, and emotional awakening. An exquisite mix of anger, sadness, loss, resignation and eventual peace.
What is your favorite soundtrack?
The Crow Soundtrack
What is your all time favorite music video?
"Wouldn't It Be Good?" Nik Kershaw
Current favorite radio hit:
"No Such Thing".(its called that or I am Invincible) John Mayer. It was great to finally have someone come out and say what I realised a long time ago.
