A Slight Return...
Sep. 5th, 2003 12:28 amWe'll with the repair of my internet access, I am back with another thrilling edition of livejournal...
(Okay everybody, at least pretend it is thrilling.)
The loss of connection mystery was solved when the Comcast technician visiting our domicile reported that the cable box against our building had been hit by a lightening strike.
Yes, a lightening strike. Make's me feel real paranoid about things, and damn lucky to be alive.
A bit of a complaint.
I know a number of people recently who have had children. I am glad that those people are happy. I would be a whole hell of a lot happier for them if they would quit exercising their incredible indulgence by ramming details about said childs triumphs down my throat. I don't care about your child, I find it reprehensible that so many people have chosen to bury this poor world with their misbegotten, caterwauling infants.
Quit trying to make me happy for you. If you want me to be happy, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!
Okay, I've cleared the air a bit with that one.
I'm finally back up to 100%.
In the middle of the mess of my grandmothers death, job hunt and sundry life events I came down with a ear and mastoid infection that kept me messed up for days. I know I did three job interviews during that period (while running a 101 degree fever) in which I managed to convince them that I was totally coherent. I find that rather remarkable by itself...what I find even more humorous is that I actually got hired for full time work during this period.
I'm glad that everybody out in LJ land is still out there, and I wish everybody all the best. I have homework to finish, and sleep to obtain.
Good night everybody...
