Ah, the joys of documentation.

Right now I am sitting at my computer editing networking documentation for a machine controller.  The principle that I am dealing with is that of the little used networking protocol Netbeui, and I am also in the glory days of DOS.  A number of years ago I sighed in relief at not having to remember obscure DOS commands and wildcards, I was under the incorrect assumption that DOS was a dead operating system.

Looks like I was wrong.  You see DOS, is still frequently used in embedded controllers and in areas where OS stability is of paramount importance.  In a very real sense it has made me realize how little most of the networking people out there actually know.  They know how to navigate the Windows GUI...but they have no real comprehension of what is going on behind the pretty interface.

At any rate I am still alive...the beginning of a new semester of classes, my job and a daily webcomic has kind of made this LJ take a back burner for awhile.  At any rate I am still alive, and still kicking.....

Oh and Half Life 2 kicks serious ass...but then again most of you probably know that already ;)
