Know when to say no.

I was working on something for a future piece and I was getting ready to take care of something for the background.

Then I took a look at it again...and realized that the lighting and overall look was so good that it was probably best just to leave the rest of it alone.  From what I have heard and experienced today that seems to be todays lesson.

Know when not to fuck with shit.  Unfortunately, it is one of the hardest lessons of all to learn.
