Pink Floyd's "Keep Talking" + the video of The Rathergood Kittens performing Mcluskys "Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues" =  real fucking surreal.

I'm thinking of going for the total media overdose thing today...just baking my brain out on anything fucking weird for the next 8 hours.  Which might be a good idea today considering the fact that nothing else is happening.  Even the desultory sounds of drills and machinery from yesterday has ceased..  Today is pretty much going to be whatever pops into my head.

1. Denise Culp is looking more than a little worse for wear these days. She definitely looks a whole hell of a lot different than she did in her junior high/high school days when a friend of mine spent most of his time there plotting how he was going to get her in bed.  Back in those days she looked f-i-n-e.  Now she looks like a refugee from a gonzo porn shoot involving midgets, giraffes, and too much time on the back of a Harley.
2. Ladies and Gentleman, I bring you the history of the sock monkey.
3. Someone is going to die for not telling me that Andrei Codrescu had a new book out.
4. Something intelligent to get you through the rest of this boring day... the literary journal: Exquisite Corpse
5. Tracking signs of the apocalypse.  Actually a quite interesting read.   Another one to peruse.
6. A soldier everyone can be proud of...I give you ROBOT NIXON!!!!
7. July 18, 2008.  Dark Knight is released.  :)
