An introduction for you all....

I had a grumpy kitty.
At least she was for a while. I finally relieved that situation by coaxing her to sit up on my computer desk. She's quiet now, and purring her little heart out. She is also entranced by the magical appearance of letters on the computer screen. I have never successfully managed to explain computer science to my feline. All she really knows about the situation is that sometimes that weird box on Dad's desk makes funny noises....and that I get really loud when something goes wrong with it.
But that's okay, in her world all that matters is that she is within perfect petting range of her human. I sometimes wish that the rest of life was that simple.
At any rate since I have my partner up here and in a cooperative mood, I would like to introduce you all to the Mighty Missy who helps supervise many of these postings.

For point of scale here...the laptop on the left is a 17 inch widescreen H&P, and the optical mouse by her paw is a Logitech MX700.
Yes, she is a big cat...and like many felines, cheerfully eccentric. But that's okay by me, I find normalcy to be a bit on the boring side anyway. Besides she also happens to be the coolest cat in the world.
But then again, I could be biased ;)

I think she does it just to mess with my head. ;)

Date: 2004-02-04 09:41 pm (UTC)For the most part there are very few people she likes in the world. I think that most of it comes from how we got her (after she was thrown out of a 40mph pickup truck when she was 4 and a half weeks old)
I can pretty much do anything with her and she will put up with it because I'm Dad. My wife is pretty much the same way...anybody else however, she will make herself as scarce as possible.
Even though there was one time when she drew blood on a maintenenance man at our apartment complex who had the gall (in her eyes) to try to baby talk her with "Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty."
But yes, this is the feline the whole war that took place a few months back was about.
