Late night thoughts....

There is nothing so sublimely perfect as the Psychedlic Furs on the radio late at night.
Currently I am doing dialogue for 7 comics. Hopefully, I can get them all knocked out before I go to bed....that way I will have the entire week of my business trip covered. Next weeks plan is to start posting the remasters of some of the earlier ones that I was working on...provided that the hotel I am staying in does indeed have internet access up and running.
Oh,
gomichan ? A certain T-Shirt appearance that I mentioned to you will be making it's debut on the 18th of OctOgre.
Need more nicotine...need chocolate cow...
Found them both....
I gotta get off my ass and continue Pryce somehow. One thing I am planning on doing during my down time out of town is getting the Pryce section of the site organized, plus put in a basic template section plus a drop down to handle Tunnelrunners easily, without fucking up the main archives for Requiem.
What else needs to be covered. While I was poisoning my lungs out on the balcony, I had a flash for another comic set in this world....this one called "Voyagers" This one is a far back prequel and specifically has to do with the first crystal ships to come to this world....that and the founding of the Merchant Houses.
These days, the only time I wish for immortality is when I consider just how much work I have to do on this whole story, and what still need to be covered in this world.
Heck, there is still a whole other series of continents that haven't even been touched yet.
Late nights is when I really begin to discover how much I am racing against time. The day when a computer is powerful enough to do an instant, high quality render is going to vbe one of the happiest days of my life.
Oh and the day someone actually succeeds in casting the magic spell proof vs. typos, I bloody well want to know about it.
At any rate...time to continue typing while my arms and fingers hold out....

Date: 2005-10-14 08:04 am (UTC)And more comics from you are also awesome, but don't overbook yourself. I know what you mean about wishing for immortality. I have to tell myself, "Write the idea down and come back to it later. You don't have time." It always turns out better in the end when I do that, anyway, because it sort of simmers on the backburner in the intervening time.

Date: 2005-10-14 10:00 pm (UTC)If I can get this up and running, I can arrange the scene, export the data out via the script and have it render out each single frame of the comic just like I was using a Polaroid camera. Once the data has been exported, I can then refocus the shot and send out another one...with no lag time of any consequence between arranging, composing and rendering
I can get each snaphot done, and let everything run through the que. What holds me up now is arranging the scene, then waiting for the 5-15 render time per shot to see if everything is perfect.
Basically it will be a trimmed down renderfarm that will be able to go a whole hell of a lot faster than rendering out entire movies. Totally platform independent. Though, if I can get the basics of this setup, I could do full length animated films in the study of my house.
If I can figure out how to do this...and get it up and running,,,,I won't need immortality ;)
