The city looks almost peaceful from up here.

Of course, if things were normal, I'd never be able to afford to eat here either. ;-)

Right now, me and a few others are crashed out in the main dining room of The Summit Club.  The Summit is a private restaurant (members only) that is atop the Chase/Holiday Inn in South Bend, and right now from our vantage point we're safely insolated from the chaos below.  The cars are safely stashed in a parking garage a few levels below us.  We even managed to close the gates before the bastards got to us.  We have guns...even got some body armor from a local gunstore that we found empty earlier today.  The only signs that anybody had been in was the bloody handprints on the door glass.

The club had been vacated by everybody except for a couple members of the kitchen staff when we got here...and I don't think that there are words strong enough to express just how glad they were to see us.

I'm crashed out by one of the windows right now eating Apple Mille Feuille with Cinammon Ice Cream, watching a horde of ants traipse their way past the College Football Hall of Fame.  God, I wish they were ants.  But I'm finding that it is a lot easier to deal with the end of the world when you're 40 stories above it.

The buildings wifi is still connecting me to the Intarweb, and I grabbed my laptop before my local library got entirely overrun by the walking dead this morning.

I don't know what I'm gonna do tomorrow.  None of us know, but at least I'm safe and fed right now.  And you know what?  I'll settle for that.

Finding the thread is always the hardest part...

I ended up throwing out three comics simply because they weren't precisely what I wanted to cover this next week. Of course, by the time I'm ready to get that section squared away, things will doubtlessly have shifted so that they are unusable for the intended purpose.

So I end up having a few bits and pieces of things floating around, like this....

This is officially the stupidest fucking thing that I have ever heard of.

And if you don't realize why it is so fucking dumb....than you are the dumbest fucking person that I have ever heard of.

Just got done reorganizing about three years of 3d digital content into some type of classification system, plus more than a touch of some type of stomach illness.

Feeling more than a little bit rotten right now.  Feeling more than a little bit bored right now as well.

This looks kind of interesting to me right now. Looks like it could be pretty good as a microserver or something similar, maybe as a media center PC as well with a little tweaking.  I got a copy of SuSe around the house here that would be a good fit with it. Got comics to do tonight for tomorrow and Friday...which should have been done earlier of course, but sometimes I procrastinate.

Back to work I go.

I must be getting old, or something.  My stomach has actually been
getting queasy while playing a video game.  Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
has been making my stomach go hoopy everytime I’ve been playing it
lately.  I haven’t had the problem with HL2, but older games though
have been making me feel ucky.

Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] flemco , who was good enough to point this out to all of us.

It is located at http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/ObamaBlueprintForChange.pdf

Read it, and judge it...but this is why I am voting for him.
